Maisela thanked businesses and stakeholders who sponsored the event. On the day, the attendees participated in various activities.

They played indigenous games such as diketo, morabaraba and mpa.

They also participated in aerobics and athletics. Awards and certificates were handed to the victors.

The annual observance of International Day of People with Disabilities was proclaimed in 1992 by the United Nations.

It aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilise support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities.
