Exterior styling has not been revised.
With it being reported this week that Mazda would no longer market the CX-3 in Europe from December, the South African arm of the Hiroshima automaker has assured the model’s future by announcing incremental updates for 2022.
Last updated in 2018, the changes to the now seven year old CX-3 include a new eight-inch MZD Connect infotainment system on all but the entry-level Active trim, and wireless smartphone charging on the Individual and top-spec Hikari.
The only other addition is a new colour, Platinum Quartz, with specification continuing otherwise as is.

As before, all models are motivated by the normally aspirated 2.0 SkyActiv-G petrol engine, whose 115kW/206Nm is channelled to the front wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox on the Active and Dynamic, with the option being a six-speed automatic. The latter is however once again the sole option for the Individual and Hikari.
Going on sale from January, pricing for the CX-3 remains unknown, but chances are it could be marginally pricier, despite the Active remaining unchanged, from the current starting sticker of R358 900.
Expect pricing for Dynamic models and up to increase by a bit more given the specification upgrades. At present, prices start at R392 400 with the Individual retailing from R466 900 and the Hikari from R486 200.
