Revived Ford Puma leaps forth in new pixelated teaser

Teased back in April as Ford’s new segment filler between the EcoSport and the all-new Kuga, a new teaser video has emerged of the revived Puma ahead of its newly confirmed world debut this coming Wednesday (26 June).

Posted by the Blue Oval’s Romanian division on its Facebook page, the highly pixelated clip sees the Puma driving through a warehouse whilst shedding some of its unseen disguise as it turns into a corner.

Although not revealing much, Ford’s rival for the aging Nissan Juke, Renault Captur, Toyota C-HR, Volkswagen T-Cross, Opel Mokka X and Mazda CX-3 has already been seen at a special unveiling in Amsterdam earlier this year, though not much was disclosed.

What is known though is that the Puma will, like its iconic sports coupe predecessor, again ride on the same architecture as the current Fiesta, with the styling being derived from the Kuga.

According to Britain’s Auto Express, the Puma’s boot will measure 456-litres while up front, power will come from the same assortment of EcoBoost turbocharged petrol and EcoBlue turbodiesel engines as the Fiesta with a mild-hybrid option also expected. Like the original, the Puma will only be offered with front-wheel-drive.
