The first of May is a day that commemorates all the blood and sweat that has gone into the labour movement.

It goes by many names all over the world. Some countries refer to it as May Day and others International Workers’ Day. In South Africa, it is known as Workers’ Day.

Vehicles that represent a hard-working colleague also go by various names. Whether it be a bakkie or a panel van, workhorses are essential in getting any work done.

“Our live market data provides insight into car shopping trends and, in this case, it reveals which workhorses consumers are most likely to buy,” says George Mienie, AutoTrader CEO.

“From the data, we can see that consumers are shopping in a relatively wide price range. They’re looking at a variety of vehicles that cost anything from R138 419 to R551 095.”
