“The passenger of the white Toyota Tazz that collided into the cyclists was also injured and taken to hospital,” he added.

The driver of white Toyota Tazz fled the scene on foot, while the passenger sustained minor injuries.

Mahamba added they were not only urging the driver of the vehicle to come forward after leaving his vehicle at the scene of the accident, but also called upon witnesses to come forward.

“The docket opened for investigation will be determined when the police finish at the scene.”
