Gang armed with bush knife storms Durban North bottle store

The suspects tied the staffs’ hands behind their backs before looting the store.


A gang of three men armed with a bush knife and a handgun robbed a bottle store in Romsey Grove in Athlone, Durban North on Tuesday.

According to Marhsall Security’s Kyle van Reenen the men tied the staffs’ hands behind their backs before stealing ‘high-end’ liquor, cigarettes and the cash from the store, Northglen News reported.

“The suspects also removed the CCTV recording system, before making off in a getaway vehicle,” said Van Reenen.

The scene was secured and handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing
