Helen Zille tells EFF, ACDP voters they wasted their crosses
The premier has alleged that the parties' Western Cape representatives simply don't show up for work.

Economic Freedom Fighters and African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) voters in the Western Cape have been advised to consider holding on to their votes, as their representatives in the Western Cape parliament failed to attend a single budget vote, which is a critical place where voter interests are represented.

Western Cape EFF provincial chair Melikhaya Xego said during eNCA’s first Town Hall Debate earlier in March that one of the EFF’s core values was land redistribution, and that was what they were focusing on.
“It is reality that everything that happened in South Africa started in the Western Cape. All the atrocities of the land dispossession that resulted in the first revolution that was taken up by our people that defended their land against colonisers started in the Western Cape.
“Without land, we do not have anything, we do not have dignity,” he said, adding that
“genocide” started from the Cape.
“With this naiveness that land distribution should be parked is gross denialism of the reality of South Africa.”
Meanwhile, Zille defended DA leader Mmusi Maimane this week.
The poll conducted by Citizen Surveys (no relation to The Citizen newspaper) showed that 58% of voters were more likely to vote for the party if Zille led the election campaign.

She justified Maimane’s leadership by stating that the party took over Nelson Mandela Bay (for a time)‚ Johannesburg, and Tshwane in the 2016 local elections under the leadership of Maimane.
