Man allegedly stabbed by ex-girlfriend

A 43-year-old woman was recently arrested by the Primrose police in Germiston for the alleged assault of her ex-boyfriend.

While walking home in the Makause informal settlement in Germiston recently, a man was allegedly attacked and stabbed by his ex-girlfriend and a friend, Germiston City News reports.

The victim told officers at the Primrose Police Station while opening a case of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm that while walking he saw his ex-girlfriend who was walking with two male friends.

“The man claimed that one of the men grabbed him and slapped him before the 43-year-old woman stabbed him with a sharp object in the upper body.

“He fled the scene and thanks to a good Samaritan, who called an ambulance, he was able to get medical treatment,” said Sergeant Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

The woman was arrested and charged with assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and was held at the Primrose Police Station pending her appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
