Ramphora said when they arrested the first suspect at the scene, they also found vehicle parts believed to have been stripped off some stolen vehicles. This led to the discovery of another workshop in Second Street, in the CBD, where more suspected stolen vehicles were found.

“We arrested two more suspects at the workshop in the CBD,” said Ramphora.

The police also recovered six car radios with their front covers, several cellphones, vehicle keys and stolen vehicle engines at the shop in the CBD, and the vehicles were taken to the Van Ryn Deep Pound in Benoni.
