‘Entitled’ and ‘arrogant’ Lindiwe Sisulu could be dropped from Ramaphosa’s slate

By Citizen Reporter

While Human Settlements Minister Lindiwe Sisulu is running her own campaign to become the next president of the ANC, she also features on Ramaphosa’s slate to possibly become his deputy should he win the ANC elective conference in December.

However, Sisulu could lose her position on the slate, as Ramaphosa’s lobbyists believe she is entitled, annoying and arrogant.

According to City Press, these insiders said Sisulu had jeopardised her position on the slate after she made comments about President Jacob Zuma’s rape accuser, Fezekile ‘Khwezi’ Kuzwayo, who died last year.

Sisulu said she believed Khwezi believed she was raped, which led to her trending on Twitter, with many confused by her comment.

“We have not yet taken a decision to kick out Lindiwe, but there are some discussions about whether to keep her on our list. She is showing her true colours even before she is elected. It’s like she is entitled, and it is irritating,” a source said.

Another insider had a different view, and said that Sisulu would remain on Ramaphosa’s slate, as there was a need for a woman candidate.

“They won’t remove her from that position, the horse has bolted. Nominations have gotten under way, and the branches have put her down as Cyril’s deputy.”

The source also said branches would require an explanantion should Sisulu be removed.
