The eight-year-old girl was last seen playing just a few houses away from her home, where it is alleged that an unknown man lured her away.

It has been over 110 days since eight-year-old Amahle Thabethe disappeared and cries to help find her grow louder and more desperate.

Amahle Thabethe was last seen playing just a few houses away from her home, where it is alleged that an unknown man lured her away, according to the people who last saw her, reports Soweto Urban.

Christopher Kope of One Strong Voice Foundation said that it was rather odd that in a country with more than a million people, no one knew Amahle’s whereabouts.

“What happened to the IsiZulu proverb, Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu,” which translates, a person could only be somebody through people, Kope said.

It takes a village to raise a child, Kope said when explaining how the kidnapping of one child affected an entire community. People who may recognise the child are urged to visit their nearest police station or make immediate contact with the police.

Keeping quiet while witnessing such a crime as kidnapping is as serious as performing the kidnapping itself, please help find Amahle.

Amahle was last seen wearing blue jeans inscribed with hearts on the right and a white long-sleeved t-shirt with black stripes on the front. She is medium height, has brown eyes and black hair. Anyone who may have recognised the little girl is urged to call 011 363 5300.
