SAPS warns against the withdrawal of cases
SAPS urges community members not to withdraw cases from the court role.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) has noted with concern that various serious cases are being withdrawn from the court, reports Alberton Record.

“Members of the community are encouraged not to withdraw cases. A team of investigators is established to work tirelessly to bring the perpetrators to book, only to find that the complainant does not want to continue with the case. This becomes a wasteful exercise on severely limited resources allocated to the police.”
“We urge community members to be patient and give us a chance to serve them and allow the law to take its course,” said Sergeant Lindile Moloi, spokesperson for Brackendowns SAPS.
