Ndlozi refuses to ‘receive’ a prophecy

Receiving prophecies seems to be a problem to the people's bae, as he does not want to eat snakes, unlike some churchgoers.

EFF national spokesperson and ‘people’s bae’ Mbuyiseni Ndlozi has refused to join the long list of churchgoers who have been fed snakes, petrol and rats.

People on social media, including Progressive Professionals’ Forum leader Mzwanele Manyi, have been sending him congratulatory messages for getting his PhD.

“Congratulations are in order Dr @MbuyiseniNdlozi, Well done on your PhD,” wrote Manyi, not knowing he sent his congratulations too early, as Ndlozi has not received his PhD yet.

However, the people’s bae was kind enough to correct those who had been congratulating him.

“I’ve received a lot of inquiries and congratulatory notes that I have attained a PhD. I appreciate the confidence they espouse, but not yet,” he recently wrote on Twitter.

Ndlozi finished his Master’s cum laude, but revealed in a recent interview the PhD had been a struggle. He said: “It’s coming together.”

One of his followers replied to his tweet that he should have just accepted the congratulatory messages and treated them as prophecy by just shouting: “I receive!” the way some churchgoers do.

However, Ndlozi seemed to oppose the idea of receiving prophecies. He says it does not only stop at accepting them – some of those who have received prophecies end up also eating snakes, something he is not keen on doing.

“Well, the problem is that if I do, I might also have to eat a snake,” he told the follower.

Ndlozi recently shared a picture of himself in a red and yellow gown, and said he was attending Ekurhuleni West TVET college’s graduation ceremony as a speaker, adding his was coming. This may have caused confusion on social media, with people thinking it was his graduation.

#ThrowBack Attended the Ekhuruleni West TVET collage graduation ceremony as a guest speaker 🎓 and you know what’s next 😉
