WATCH: Bushiri can now perform ‘miracles’ by phone

Prophet Shepherd Bushiri’s latest miracle on live TV has divided social media, with some praising him, while some have blasted South Africans for being “gullible”. In a video that is circulating on social media, the prophet calls a woman to the front and claims there is trouble in her marriage.
He then takes her phone, which she says belongs to her son, though the SIM card in the phone is hers. She then tells the prophet her son saved her husband’s number as “dad”.
Bushiri can be seen kneeling and praying for the husband to “miss his wife” and “call her right now”.
After the prayer, he waits for a few minutes as the phone remains quiet. He says if the phone does not ring, “I will stop preaching, as it will mean I’m a false prophet”.
The phone rings, but only beeps once after the prophet “demands” that the husband call, much to the congregants’ surprise.
Though his congregants were in awe of his latest “miracle”, social media users are having none of it. The man could have been watching the channel and decided to call, some have argued.
Skeptics say the prophet was holding the woman’s phone for some time, could have called one of his people, saved their number as “dad” and instructed them to call back.
Why is there no missed call notification on the phone? they asked.
Some questioned why the husband only buzzed his wife and why she did not answer the call.

“Any number can be saved as Dad on one’s phone, I’d feel insulted and offended if my intelligence could be tested like this.”
“Bushiri was holding the phone for a while and enough to create a contact with one of his own people cellphone number and stored it as dad. Anyway he prayed for the guy to call but that wasn’t a call it was a miscall.”
” There is no magic there Lolest. There is an app called ‘Fake Caller’ you can set a time and a person’s number which you want to fake he/she is calling, By the fact that the woman didn’t answer shows that it’s fake caller.”
His followers have defended him against the critics, saying they only hope they open their eyes and see that Bushiri is a man of God.
