WATCH: Trevor Noah traces his African identity to Trump’s ‘covfefe’

The bizarre word left Noah swimming all the way to the US to ask the president what 'covfefe' really means.

US President Donald Trump lit up the internet and left Twitter users confused after tweeting “covfefe”: a weird word no one knows the meaning of to date.

“Despite the constant negative press covfefe,” he tweeted on Wednesday.

Many were left wondering if it was a typo, acronym or secret message.

Comedian and The Daily Show host Trevor Noah was also left wondering what the US leader meant.

However, he came up with his own short story that linked his African identity to the weird word. In the short documentary, Nigerian Noah, whose name is Covfefe, embarks on a journey to the US in a bid to ask Trump what his name means.

The video, viewed nearly 4 million times on Faceiij already, has been circulating widely on social media.
