PICS: Storm wreaks havoc in Mpumalanga

So far no serious injuries have been reported.

A storm wreaked havoc on the R40 Barberton Road last night after a tree fell on a car and roofs were blown off homes. Lowvelder reports that J&M Security’s Nico van Aswegen and his family were driving home on a dirt road when a tree fell onto their vehicle.

J&M’s Security’s Hendrick Botha said Van Aswegan had sustained minor head injuries, but was discharged from hospital this morning. “His family was with him in the car, but luckily they were not injured.”
