WATCH: Pupil stabbed to death in school violence

Learners started recording videos while girls screamed for the violence to stop, shouting that the boys beat up the wrong person. WARNING: Graphic video.

A Grade 10 Sir Pierre Van Ryneveld High School boy was stabbed and a Panorama School boy left unconscious in a fight that took place in Kempton Park, on the East Rand, on Friday.

It is also believed the boy from Panorama School was hit by a vehicle trying to flee as boys from Sir Pierre chased after him.

Paramedics and police rushed to a park on Commission Street following the violence between learners from the two schools.

A Sir Pierre Van Ryneveld learner, speaking to Kempton Express, said it was chaotic as learners witnessed the intense violence at about 2pm on Friday, Kempton Express reported.

Learners started recording videos and taking photos while most of the girls screamed for the violence to stop and shouted that the boys beat up the wrong person.

“A Grade 10 boy from our school, Sir Pierre, told his brother from Panorama that he was being bullied by another Grade 10 boy. His brother came with his friends after school, and they started threatening boys from Sir Pierre.

“They did not even beat the boy who is said to have been the bully,” the learner said.
