Update: Uncle accused of cutting up missing girl appears in court

He will appear in court again on December 13

A suspect (36) has been arrested for the murder of missing child Celimpilo Nosbusiso Sibiya (8).

The suspect is believed to be the uncle of the missing girl. On Thursday, November 15, police, along with Ladysmith K9 Search & Rescue, found Celimpilo’s body parts; she had been cut up.

The suspect directed police officers to two pit toilets in Driefontein, where the body parts were found.

The case was changed to murder, and the suspect was immediately arrested and charged. 

He appeared in the Ladysmith Magistrate’s Court on Monday (November 19) and will appear in court again on Thursday, December 13.
