Gun shots rung through the air after an armed robbery and attempted hijacking in the Mpati area.
Details are scarce currently but it is believed that one person was shot in the incident.
Community members managed to apprehend one of the group and assaulted him, before police intervened.
The other men are on the run.
A journalist is on route to the scene.
