Three men have been arrested following a robbery in the Mpati area earlier today.
The men threatened an elderly woman at gunpoint, stealing her stokvel money in the process.

Community members who heard the woman’s cries for help, gave chase and arrested one of the men. They assaulted him before police and security officials intervened.
The man, however, claimed that he was not part of the gang. He told police that he was in his vehicle when the armed men entered it, demanding that he drive.
Qomkufa Security later arrested two other men for the crime and recovered the money as well as the firearm used in the crime.
