Breaking point.
We have all been there; the situation spirals out of control. One thing leads to another. The clouds break, and you have left your umbrella at home.
Rock bottom, the end of your tether. Days drag into weeks, weeks into months. You carry on not because you want to, but because you must.
Five Cent Piece peers into the gloomy potpourri of life and suppresses a giggle. The edge of destruction looms threateningly, and some look down and laugh. Others crawl into a little ball and hide away. Five Cent Piece takes a deep breath and laughs until it hurts.
Days will come when you just can’t do it anymore. Write down that date, remember it ten years from now and laugh some more.
In life, it is your prerogative to decide whether you want to be one of the people who crumble, or one of the people who reaches the door which leads to the point of no return, and opens it; or stares blankly until your brain turns to mush.
“Life is short,” they say. No, it isn’t. Life is the longest thing you will ever do. The truth is, happiness is a byproduct of perspective. Perspective can be altered, albeit only slightly.
Change it up, make the choices you need to make. Stop delaying making that all important call to that person you should have called years ago. Take the plunge.
Everything, the bad and the good, is all a matter of perspective. But be careful to not alter reality, there are far too many people out there who don’t have a strong enough grip on reality as it is.
Reality is a hard nut for a reason. It’s that way to keep track of the insanity of it all.
