The club says they are not going to the play-offs just to add numbers; they are going there to compete

The new winners of the Nomgwenya Security UThukela Men’s Regional League expressed jubilation on being crowned champions in this very difficult and competitive league.

Junior Eleven FC secured the title on Sunday (May 12) when they beat Lacoster 4-1, while their closest rivals, Young Elephant, played to a goalless draw against Pieter’s Fast Eleven FC.

Junior Eleven finished on top with 72 points after 28 games, with Young Elephant in second place with 69 points after 28 games.

“The league was not easy. The competition was very high, as proven by the crowding of the stadium whenever teams played. We are now going to the play-offs that will be held in Pietermaritzburg from May 21 to June 2. The play-off levels are also not easy, but it’s up to the players how they perform. They have to up their game because they have to sell themselves to the scouts who will be there.”

Hadebe also commented that their preparations will commence on Monday and go forward from there, saying they are pleading with the supporters to pray for them.
