Movies and Musicals is a production that brings together some of the best professional, semi-professional and amateur artists in Potchefstroom and gives them a platform to showcase their talent and passion.
‘It will allow them to perform without the pressure of competition or academia and allow them the sheer exhilaration of performing to an audience,’ says the artistic director, Piet Muller.

The show included acts from PUK Amici, Wesley Conradie, Annabel Marais and her band, Bea Erasmus, Wikus van Aswegen, Aujord’hui and dancers from the Flair Dance Company, including the founder, Laurika Muller.
The theme of the show was Movies and Musicals and songs from Lion King, Pearl Harbor, Shrek, Wizard of Oz, Alladin, Alice in Wonderland, August Rush and Frozen dominated the first half while the second half focused on musicals like The Phantom of the Opera, Sound of Music, Cats and Les Misérables.
Flair Dance Company was founded by Muller in 2013. The aim of the company is to give everyone with a dream to dance the opportunity to showcase their talents. According to her, it’s not about only allowing the dancers with 13 years of experience behind them to perform, but rather to help people who have a dream to dance and a passion for being on stage the opportunity to fulfil their dreams.
They help dancers develop to their full potential and share their talent for others to see. Muller strongly believes that everybody can dance, so she lets them dance.
