Mr and Ms South Africa (SA) Model of the Year recently conducted its fourth annual workshop for the contestants.

Mr and Ms South Africa (SA) Model of the Year recently conducted its fourth annual workshop for the contestants.

In total, there are 53 boys and girls who are part of the pageant from six different provinces, but not all could attend for various reasons.

The event aimed to empower the young boys and girls and provide the necessary information and tools for their future.

Lee Morumudi is one of the founders of Mr and Ms SA Model of the Year. She says they believe in empowering young girls and boys by giving them knowledge and skills, particularly in the beauty industry. She adds that beauty is one of the big industries in the world, so they need to prepare the participants.

At the workshop, representatives from the mayor’s office, Banna Ba Kae, a national makeup artist, local fashion designer and a representative from the pageant addressed the attendees. They also gave them some lessons and tips on makeup and the beauty industry as a whole.

At the end of the workshop, the participants took home quality information and training and a mini makeup kit. They will receive certificates at the pageant in October.
