The JB Marks Local Municipality panning another water shutdown in order to install a new water meter and pump control valve at the Ikageng Pump Station.

Jeanette Thsite, municipal spokesperson, says this shutdown is necessary for the installation of a new Water Meter and Pump Control Valve by the appointed contractor.

The work at the Pump Station will lead to a water shutdown that is scheduled as follows: Date: Tuesday, 09 December 2025 Time: From 06h00 in the morning until later in the evening

Areas that will be affected by the shutdown include:

• Ikageng Proper (Old Ikageng)
• Potch-Industria

“Residents are advised to store sufficient water in advance to prepare for the day. The Municipality sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience and appreciates the patience of all affected residents.”
