A professional MMA athlete presented an anti-bullying and self-defence programme for children in Ext. 11 on 29 October.
Roevan de Beer, who is contracted by the EFC (Extreme Fighting Championship) explains that many young children face bullying at school these days and it has become a huge problem in society.

Roevan currently trains at Close Combat Solutions in Potchefstroom and wanted to give something back to the community. He enjoys working with the youngsters and combines his own anti-bullying programme, fitness routines for strength and the conditioning that he has tried and tested for the past 15 years to coach the children.
‘I have been a coach in multiple sports for schools and I know how to get through to children. I also want to give some exposure to Mosaic SA, the charity that gave me the opportunity. And, to Team Daly, without you I wouldn’t be able to do this,’ he says.
