ALERT: Water shutdown from today

The municipality will be repairing the water leaks on the asbestos pipe at Cnr. Louis le Grange and Meyer Street today (29 January) until tomorrow (30 January).

Asa result, the water supply will be interrupted.

The areas that might be affected are:

  • Extensions 7, 11, 12
  • Sarafina
  • Central Business District (CBD)
  • Industrial area
  • Greater Ikageng
  • Promosa
  • Mohadin

William Maphosa, the municipality spokesperson says, “The contractor will excavate and see how big the leak is and then start to prepare to repair it if it needs to be water will be possibly closed down from the main supply on the Ventersdorp Road Reservoir”.
