Business thanks community for support

After receiving fantastic support from the community, a Gauteng car dealership felt it was only right to give back to that community last weekend.

The business donated food and necessities to Boitshoko High School, a disadvantaged school in Ikageng. Although the dealership is in Gauteng, many of their sales come from people in Potchefstroom and Klerksdorp. “We saw a need to give back to the community and say thank you,” the senior manager, Gabriel Paula (35) said.

Paula said they considered that some learners go to school on an empty stomach and even lack basic needs like toiletries.

“We provided toiletries for girls and boys and decided to open a soup kitchen in extensions 6, 7 and 11. They will operate throughout winter to assist those who are less fortunate,” he explained. “Let’s not wait for Mandela Day to do our part; let’s give back where we can.

“We also ensured Boitshoko that, should they need anything else, we are just a phone call away.

“If you need someone to make a difference at your school, old age home, youth centre, welfare organisation or community as a whole, contact us on 081 390 6737,” Paula concluded.
