42 years of excellence at Promosa Primary

Mrs Gladys Gerber, one of the most well-known grade 1 teachers at Promosa Primary is set to retire after 42 years of service at the school.

Mrs Gladys Gerber, one of the most well-known grade 1 teachers at Promosa Primary is set to retire after 42 years of service at the school.

Ms Gladys Gerber touched many young lives at Promosa Primary.

Since 1982, she has served in various positions at the school, which includes, department head, the vice principal of the school as well as acting principal.

Mrs Gerber has always prioritised the aspects most important to her such as doing the right thing and keeping herself spiritually grounded. She serves and teaches with passion.

“Teaching is a calling and not a job for me. I thank the Lord for the touching of many learners life’s and the impact I made, and the greatest joy for me is when I see how most of them excel and make it in life,” stated Mrs Gerber.

“Monday morning just was not the same without praise and worship songs to start the week. We wish Mrs. Gerber all the best in her retirement as well as new projects that she will be taking on,” stated Mrs. Dineo Moruri, one of her current colleagues and a former learner.
