The 2016 Women’s Varsity Football tournament was one for the books with 16 high-quality matches being played between eight of the country’s finest varsities.
The tournament was held at the Fanie du Toit Sports Grounds in Potchefstroom from 15-17 September.
Current champions, TUT was once again one of the best teams in the tournament as it racked up the goals to go into the final unbeaten.
The side also beat the home team, NWU Pukke 3-0 in the semi-final. The final is scheduled to be played at the TUT Stadium on Thursday, 22 September.
The University of the Western Cape will be the other team joining TUT in the final on Thursday after beating the University of Cape Town 3-1 in the semi-final on Saturday.
