North West preteen golfers excel in SA championships

North West golf players have excelled over the past month with the u.13 team being the pick of the bunch. This team took a well-deserved second place at the SA u.13 championships.
The team consisted of Rorisang Nkosi (Pecanwood), Corné Pieters (Orkney), Ockie Brits (Potchefstroom/Carletonville), Divan Mostert (Klerksdorp), Stefano Marchetti and Leonard Bevan (both Leopard Park).
Leon Bevan was the manager of the team.
Individual performances from North West players during the SA u.13 tournament:
Rorisang Nkosi (4th), Corné Pieters (12th), Ockie Brits (16th), Nehann Robbetze (Brits 18th), Divan Mostert (19th).
*In other news, Christo Reinecke (Lichtenburg) came 8th at the North West Senior Open for over 50s, whilst Henri Swanepoel (Potchefstroom) came 11th.
Janko van der Merwe (Brits) also won an event in the Southern Cape for u.12s.
Christiaan Burke (Potchefstroom) was selected for the SA high schools team.
