Vaal Reefs vs Potch Dorp 1

Vaal Reefs completed a five-wicket victory over the Potchefstroomers after bowling Potch Dorp out for 157. Vaal Reefs reached the target in comfortable fashion with Charl Penning scoring a valuable 62.

Vaal Reefs’ Brady Barends set up the victory for his side with an immaculate bowling performance of 5/29 in his ten overs.

He had both openers, Ockert Gericke and Jandré Jacobs out for golden ducks as Potch Dorp struggled against his bowling.

Barends then later also had Stefan Gericke out for a first-ball duck. Armand Strydom was the best batsman for Potch Dorp with 48.

Taurus vs Ibbies

Taurus and Ibbies squared off in a high-scoring affair at the Puk Oval last Saturday which Ibbies won by 6 wickets.

Taurus batted first and scored an    impressive 276/8 in their 50 overs. Tommie le Roux was the star of the show with his 82.

SW Rossouw also contributed with a quickfire 45 (30). Ibbies had an even better reply, however, with a massive 191 run partnership between Schalk Steyn (81*) and Shane Dadswell (138) setting up the victory.

Lichtenburg vs Impala

Impala were too good for Lichtenburg as the visitors from Lichtenburg  completed an 8-wicket victory.

The men from Lichtenburg could not get going and only posted a low score of 131 all out. Michael Fielding was the best bowler with 3-18. Christian Peyper was Impala’s top scorer with 63.
