North West Cricket will have huge boots to fill in the coming months with the announcement that the current CEO, Heinrich Strydom, has signed a new deal to move to Durban’s Dolphins franchise in the same position from 1 August 2017.
Strydom, who is a well-known Potchefstroomer, is excited to take on this new chapter in his life and believes he can make a big impact at franchise level.
‘It is a dream come true from my side. I am really looking forward to taking the Dolphins franchise to the next level,’ he said during the press conference.

Strydom was named CEO of North West Cricket in 2012 and served the union with distinction during this five-year period that has seen the North West Cricketing landscape grow in leaps and bounds.
Strydom was also the general manager of the Lions franchise and these credentials and his passion for cricket ultimately drew the attention of the Dolphins, who wasted little time in acquiring his services.
There is no doubt that Strydom will be missed at North West Cricket as he has been a fixture in the system since his playing days at school, club and provincial level.
‘I want to make sure that I finish off at North West Cricket strongly and that the processes will be in place for my successor,’ he said.
