The 2018 Khune Legacy Tournament in Ventersdorp over the Easter Weekend was once again a great success, despite fewer teams entering the tournament than expected.
‘We were expecting around 16 teams but, in the end, we only had six boys’ teams and two girls’ teams. Still, it didn’t stop us from achieving our goals of motivating the youngsters and giving them a chance to polish their football skills,’ said the organiser of the tournament, Oupa Mothibedi.
The famous Khune footballing brothers, Itumeleng and Lucky from Ventersdorp were the ambassadors of the tournament.
‘A big thank you to Danup, the main sponsor and also to J.B. Marks Municipality and the Khune family, who supplied the food and tents for the tournament,’ said Mothibedi.
