The 2018 Heritage Cricket Festival was once again one for the books with 18 schools taking part in this cricket extravaganza that Potchefstroom Boys’ High hosted for the 18th consecutive year.
This festival took place from 31 August to 2 September on nine cricket grounds across Potchefstroom. On Friday, 40-over matches took place with 60-over matches taking place on Saturday and T20 matches on Sunday.
The competing schools this year were Potchefstroom Boys’ High, Hoër Volkskool Potchefstroom, Potchefstroom Gimnasium, Maragon College, Waterstone College, Trinity House, Randpark High, Northcliff High, Randburg Hoër, Hoërskool Goudveld, St. Benedicts College, St. John’s College, KHS, Hoërskool E.G. Jansen, Hoërskool Marais Viljoen, Helpmekaar College and Redhill College.
‘This was really an excellent tournament and I want to thank the sponsors and schools for their participation and effort in making it a success,’ said the tournament organiser, Alex Paiva.
