After an exciting an exhilarating 2018 Coca-Cola Khaya Majola Cricket Week some of the top talent on display got their recognition with a call up to the prestigious SA Schools and SA Colts sides.

As expected Gauteng, Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal had a bevy of talent in the SA Schools and Colts side, with the other unions and provinces’ biggest stars filling the other slots.

One such youngster was North West’s, Marco Jansen, who claimed a spot in the SA Colts side. Jansen was named the all-rounder of the week after impressing with both bat and ball. Jansen, who has also represented the North West Dragons provincial side, capped off 2018 with this achievement and judging by his talent, there is still a lot to come from this left arm bowler and right hand batsman.

Jansen of Potchefstroom Gimnasium also follows in the footsteps of old-boy Ruan Haasbroek who made the SA Colts team in 2015.

THS Potchefstroom’s Karabelo Matlawe and Jansen were also selected for the Bizhub Highveld Lions’ Cubs side.
