The North West u.17 Cricket Team endured a somewhat disappointing u.17 Momentum Cricket Week in Durban from 12 to 16 December. North West’s u.17s were winless in their five matches. They drew their first game against Western Province before succumbing to losses against Limpopo, Northerns, Border and Northern Cape.
The THS player, Karabelo Matlawe was one of the highlights for NW during the week. He took seven wickets at a miserly rate. Johan Schonfeldt was also one of the top batsmen for NW with his 127 against WP being the only century for a NW batsman during the week.
