The athletics hungry supporters were though treated to a fine display from Indian javelin thrower, Sahil Silwal, who threw a brilliant 78.44m. Silwal is currently in Potchefstroom for an annual training camp together with a number of other Indian throwers, under the mentorship of German coach, Uwe Hohn.

There were also a number of other track and field events during the day, where both youngsters and experienced competitots upped their game.
