Lions ready for Dolphins at Senwes Park after commanding win against Knights

The Lions opener, Ryan Rickelton, continued his good form with a superb 51 (41).

The Bizhub Highveld Lions showed their mettle with a convincing 40-run win against the VKB Knights in their T20 Challenge match at Senwes Park last Friday.

The Lions opener, Ryan Rickelton, continued his good form with a superb 51 (41). His innings, which included seven fours, enthralled the local crowd. The Proteas all-rounder, Dwaine Pretorius, also chipped in with an accomplished 36* (22) to steer the Lions to 150/7.

The former Dragons all-rounder, Bjorn Fortuin, bamboozled the Knights batsmen and finished with miserly figures of 3/10. The paceman, Malusi Siboto, also claimed 3/11 in three overs to restrict the Knights to 110/9.

The Lions next face the Dolphins on Monday, 22 April at 14:30 at Senwes Park.
