Varsity Hockey is back in Potch

The return leg in Potch will see the NWU playing against Maties, UCT and UJ.

The NWU’s brand new blue astroturf will play host to the second leg of the 2019 Varsity Hockey tournament from 10 to 13 May. The event is for the top hockey women in the country at a tertiary level.
The NWU women’s hockey team will look to avenge their semi-final defeat at the hands of Maties two years ago and lift the trophy this time around.
They will first have to play some top hockey in Cape Town at the UCT Hockey Astro this weekend (3–6 March).
The NWU will face the Madibaz at 17:00 on Friday, 3 May in their opening match of the competition.
They will then slug it out with Wits at 15:15 on Saturday, 4 May. They will face their rivals, Kovsies, on Sunday, 5 May (17:00) before facing Tuks at 17:00 on Monday, 6 May.
The return leg in Potch will see the NWU playing against Maties, UCT and UJ. The top four teams in the round robin stage will face each other in the semi-finals at the NWU Astro on Monday, 13 May.
