NW Flames need to bring the heat after slow start

The Flames will now need to win their remaining fixtures starting tonight (Tuesday, 20 October) against the Fireballs at 19:00.

The North West Flames have had quite a rocky start to their 2020 Telkom Netball League campaign in Bloemfontein this past week.

The Flames had the tough task of facing defending champions, the Gauteng Jaguars, in the first match and narrowly lost out 34-31. In their next division one encounter they suffered a humbling 39-27 defeat against the Southern Stings from the Cape, before finally breaking the duck with a 41-37 victory against KZN’s Kingdom Stars.

Another close 42-39 loss against the Free State Crinums followed the next day before a fourth loss in the week against the Gauteng Fireballs (41-34) further doused their chances of a playoff place.

The Flames will now need to win their remaining fixtures starting tonight (Tuesday, 20 October) against the Fireballs at 19:00.
