Three ACNW members selected in ASA structures

Jean Verster (Chairperson: Track and Field), Adam Motlagale (additional commission member: Cross Country) and Elroy Gelant (additional commission member: Athletes) were selected this past weekend in Athletics South Africa (ASA) structures. 

Jean Verster (Chairperson: Track and Field), Adam Motlagale (additional commission member: Cross Country) and Elroy Gelant (additional commission member: Athletes) were selected this past weekend in Athletics South Africa (ASA) structures.
 
This was during the 2021 ASA ASA Quadrennial General Meeting held at the OR Tambo Garden Court on Saturday, 8 May.
 
 
James Moloi was also selected as the new President of Athletics South Africa and will lead ASA on a four year terms. He takes over from Aleck Skosana. Shireen Noble is the new Vice President and she takes over from Dr Harold Adams.

Commissions’ Chairpersons:

  • Jean Verster (Track & Field)
  • Enoch Skosana (Road Running)
  • Jakes Jacobs (Cross Country)
  • Hendrick Mokganyetsi (Athletes Commission).

Additional Board Members:

  1. Esther Malema (Limpopo Athletics)
  2. Ntathu Gwadiso (Border Athletics)
  3. Adelina Ranthimo (Athletics Free State)
  4. Noma Nonkonyane (Western Province Athletics).

“Our ACNW family are extremely excited for having 3 of our own elected amidst ASA structures. Not only have they been involved in the sport as athletes for many years, they also share the same passion with their commitment attesting to just that.
They will undoubtedly play significant roles in the continued revival of our sport. It is imperative that each and every ACNW family member provide them with our full support,” said ACNW in a statement on Facebook.
