Dragons secure commanding win against Knights

The Dragons victory was set up by a dominating bowling performance as they restricted the Knights to only 94/9 in their 20 overs.

The North West Dragons made it two wins from two in the CSA T20 Cup with a scorching 8 wicket win against the ITEC Knights today (Thursday, 10 February).

The Dragons victory was set up by a dominating bowling performance as they restricted the Knights to only 94/9 in their 20 overs. It was a true all round bowling and fielding performance by the men from Potchefstroom.

Spinners, Senuran Muthusamy (2/8) in four overs and Johannes Diseko (2/19) in four overs created all sorts of problems for the Knights batsmen.

Three run outs also did not help the cause of the Knights, but highlighted the Dragons mentality as they never took their foot off the gas.

In reply the Dragons steamrolled to the target with 59 balls to spare. Wesley Marshall hit a fine 43 (29) which included 5 fours and 2 sixes. Heino Kuhn carried his bat with a well played 30 (20) which included four boundaries.

The Dragons will want to get their third win on the trot this coming Sunday when they take on the Boland Rocks, who are still winless after two matches.
