A local polocrosse rider from the Potchefstroom Polocross Club and grade 10 Potch Volkies learner, Jonathan Thornhill (16), has the privilege of representing the SA u.16 polocrosse team in Zimbabwe.

The tour will take place from 23–30 August 2022. This will be an invaluable experience for Jonathan, competing with the best in the country against top opposition.

Jonathan follows the same path as his younger brother, Christopher (14), who was also selected for the SA u.14 polocrosse team. Christopher is currently competing in SA colours on a tour of Zambia.

The SA u.16 side that Jonathan forms part of features eight riders. Gavin Cocker (coach) and Melissa Price Moor (manager) will also form part of the squad.
