Dragons need to make most of home conditions as 4 Day Cup resumes this Sunday

No batsman has crossed the three-figure mark yet with Delano Potgieter’s 81* against the Lions being one of the only memorable innings.

The North West Dragons are back in action for the first time in the new year when they face the Boland Rocks in a CSA 4-Day Challenge Division 1 match at the J.B. Marks Oval from 12-15 February.

The first ball will be bowled this Sunday with both teams searching for invaluable points on the log.

The hosts are currently bottom of the log after an indifferent start to the competition. A draw against the Knights and losses against the Lions and Warriors has put them on 12.38 points.

The Dragons’ batting has been the biggest concern with the team struggling to get past 200 runs in their first innings. Getting a big score will definitely go a long way to racking up points in their quest for their first victory of the competition.

No batsman has crossed the three-figure mark yet with Delano Potgieter’s 81* against the Lions being one of the only memorable innings.

Renaldo Meyer is the top wicket-taker for the Dragons with 10 at an average of 23.30. Other bowlers have chipped in, but even on the bowling front there has not been a dominant performance as of yet.

The match starts at 10:00 on Sunday, 12 February. Entrance is free for spectators.
