North West N12 half-marathon attracts numerous runners

Nicolas Seoposengwe took first in the 21 km men’s race in a time of 1:07:22, whilst Neheng Khatala of Lesotho took first in the women’s 21km race in a time of 1:17:15.

The North West N12 half-marathon and 5km challenge took place in Potchefstroom on Saturday, 21 October with numerous runners taking on the challenge on a hot morning at the Olën Park B-field, next to the NWU McArthur Stadium.

Nicolas Seoposengwe took first in the 21 km men’s race in a time of 1:07:22, whilst Neheng Khatala of Lesotho took first in the women’s 21km race in a time of 1:17:15.

Puseletso Mofokeng took second in the men’s race in 1:07:38, with Kenyan, Denis Kipkosgei taking bronze in 1:07:51.

The experiencde Lebo Phalula took second in the women’s race in 1:17:31, with Nobukhosi Tshuma third in 1:19:21.

2023 Comrades champion, Tete Dijana also added star power to the race, finishing sixth in the 21km race in a time of 1:08:10.

Danielle Verster took first in the women’s 5km challenge in a time of 17:04. Tiisetso Mahoma won the men’s 5km challenge in 14:03.
