Ibbies and Ikageng pick up wins in Premier League

Ibbies got the better of Reinke 9T20 by 8 runs in a tense match at the Reinke Oval.

The North West Premier A-League T20 Club Cricket season continued on an exhilarating note with numerous games going down to wire as well as some upsets taking place on Saturday, 25 November.

Ikageng Cricket Club, boosted with the likes of Dragons batsmen, Lesego Senokwane and Lesiba Ngoepe, managed to defeat Potch Dorp by 7 runs and Impala Cricket Club by 12 runs.

In Ikageng’s match against Potch Dorp they managed a total of 136/6 in 20 overs with Caiden Seleka top scoring with 34 (33 balls).
Potch Dorp were stifled in their chased as a 41 (42) from Niel Jansen van Vuuren and 36 (34) from Righardt Joubert was not enough as they could only reach 129/8 at the Witrand Oval.

Senokwane took 3/17 with his spin. Seleka took 2/17 with accurate leggies.

Tshireletso Tikoe continued his good form this season for Ikageng with a quick fire 80 (57 balls) together with Ngoepe (71 off 37 balls) as they posted 195/5 in their 20 overs in their 12-run win against Impala.

Impala though were not deterred and made a fight of it reaching 183/6 with Estiaan Schonfeldt top scoring with 47 (26).
Ibbies got the better of Reinke 9T20 by 8 runs in a tense match at the Reinke Oval. Ibbies scraped their way to 147/6.

BJ Malamba hit 44* (28). It proved vital as the Fielding brother’s contributions just weren’t enough on the day. Dwaine made 68 (56) and Mike 47 (43) to give Reinke 9T20
a chance. Ibbies’ pacer, Edumisa Dlulemnyango (4/19) bowled brilliantly under pressure to secure the win for his side.

Reinke 9T20 though ended their day on a high with a 7-run win against Potch Dorp. Reinke 9T20 made 140/7 with Dwaine Fielding hitting 34 (20).
He backed this up with the ball taking 4/23 to restrict Potch Dorp to 133 all out.
