The North West Dragons players had a fantastic weekend under their belts where they represented various club teams in the North West Club Cricket Premier League T20 A-division.
Lesego Senokwane (105 off 55 balls) lead Ikageng to a 31-run victory against Ibbies at the NWU Oval. Senokwane’s century took his side to 189/5 in their 20 overs. The Ikageng bowlers managed to tighten the screw especially after dismissing left-hander, William September for 58 (50).

Tshireletso Tikoe (3/23) and Lebogang Mokoshane (2/23) were the pick of the bowlers for Ikageng as Ibbies could only manage 158/7 in their 20 overs.
Ikageng and Potch Dorp 1 were also involved in an exciting encounter later in the day that Potch Dorp won by 2 wickets.

Ikageng were bundled out for 96 in 15.1 overs with Phemelo Sepati (25 off 26 balls) top scoring. Potch Dorp managed to get over the line in the 17th over with 8 wickets down. This was largely due to Corné Nel (38 off 27 balls) and Niel Jansen van Vuuren (29 off 36 balls). Dragons star, Lesiba Ngoepe, spun a web for the Potch Dorp batsmen taking 5/21 in his 4 overs.
Reinke 9T20 also had a fantastic Saturday with Dragons left-hander, Rubin Hermann, in their ranks. Hermann hit two half-centuries in consecutive matches to steer his team to victory against the NWU and Ibbies.

Hermann scored a majestic 90 (52) against the NWU in their chase of 174/4. HJ Smith with 35 (32) also supported the Dragons left-hander, as Reinke 9T20 completed a six-wicket win with 8 balls to spare.
NWU had earlier made 174/4 with Dewald du Plessis hitting 82* (55 balls). This was Du Plessis’ second unbeaten half-century of the day as he also smashed 77* (33) against Taurus in a comfortable 8-wicket win for NWU.
Reinke 9T20 next took on Ibbies and completed an easy 9 wicket victory with Hermann scoring a free-flowing 85* (46). Reinke 9T20 only had to chase 134 for victory after Ibbies were held to 133/4.
Ibbies’ Ricu van den Bergh scored 48 (37). HJ Smit 1/15 and Francois Blom (2/10) were the standouts for Reinke 9T20 in the bowling department.
