There were shouts of joy and jubilation over the weekend as THS Potch won the sevens tournament hosted by Ferdies.

THS were silver medalists at last year’s tournament which shows the effort that the coaching staff at THS put in for this year’s tournament.

The u.17 tournament which ran for it’s second year from 22 -23 August was another success, which Ferdies will keep building on. Ferdies’ own team finished as bronze medalists, also improving from 5th place the previous year. Stella was this year’s silver medalists.

Hartbeespoort, Boys High, Milner made up the rest of the schools that participated in the tournament.

“Everyone had plent of fun at the tournament, it was good, really good preparation for the teams looking to compete at the Leopards sevens tournament at Lichtenburg coming up,” said Donnavan Serfontein, rugby organiser at Ferdies.
