Amanzimtoti athletes tackle Netronix Woodview Challenge

The Netronix Woodview Challenge was a combination of a 21.1km half-marathon, 21.1km walk, 10km run, and a 10km walk.

MEMBERS of the Amanzimtoti Athletic Club participated in the Netronix Woodview Challenge in Mount Edgecombe recently.

Hosted by the Woodview Athletic Club, the challenge consisted of a 21.1km half-marathon, 21.1km walk, 10km run, and a 10km walk.
Warren Gibson, Lauryn Canderle, and Senta Fouche ran the 21.1km half-marathon, while Renier Fouche undertook the 10km walk. Canderle was also the first Amanzimtoti woman to hit the finish line.

Woodview Athletic Club’s chairperson Sally Govender said everything went well.

“A massive thank you to all the participants from various clubs who showed up in numbers, pushing their limits and making the race a thrilling experience. Your passion is what makes this event a success,” said Govender.

• Warren Gibson – 01:36:06
• Lauryn Canderle – 01:40:08
• Senta Fouche – 02:17:55
• Renier Fouche – 01:33:54.
